Dillon McCowan Competes in USRA Fall Nationals

Dillon McCowan entered the Modified portion of the 2023 edition of the USRA Fall Nationals on Wednesday evening as 44 competitors converged on the state-of-the-art, 3/8-mile oval.

Dillon battled adversity in both his heat race and feature with early departures from the action in each respective race. He was credited with a 20th-place finish in the main event.

On Thursday he sought better fortune, and he would find it. Starting his night with an eighth-to-fourth charge in his heat race lined up third on the feature grid.

He closed in on the leader late in the 20-lap preliminary feature before ultimately settling into a second-place finish behind Tyler Wolff with Chad Clancy, Terry Phillips, and Alex Williamson rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

The weekend drew to a close for Dillon Saturday night with the finale. Via his performances in preliminary action he earned the 11th-starting spot for the finale and went on to notch a 15th-place finish at the checkered flag.
