Bagley goes Cotton Pickin’ at Magnolia
Morgan Bagley followed the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Friday and Saturday for the prestigious Cotton Pickin’ event.
On Friday, Bagley’s Power House Custom Coatings No. 14M ride was among 46 Super Late Models at the 3/8-mile “Black Ice” with a $4,000 payout on the line. Bagley finished sixth in his heat race, then nabbed the third and final transfer spot in his B-Main to start 21st in the night’s 40-lap main event. He picked up six positions in the feature to score a 15th-place result.
The following evening, the CCSDS field increased to 47 competitors seeking the $12,000 top prize in the event finale. Bagley finished sixth in his heat and used a runner-up result in his B-Main to transfer to the night’s 60-lap feature. He rolled off 20th and came home in the 14th position.
Bagley is currently fifth in the CCSDS series standings with just two events remaining in 2023.
