Holland steers to top-5 result at Deep South Speedway

After several weeks of racing in the Midwest, Mississippi native Chase Holland competed closer to home on Saturday with a visit to Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama.

Holland won his heat race in the DIRTcar UMP Modified division on the 3/8-mile clay oval, putting him on the pole for the 20-lap main event.

Holland was running second and gaining on the leader as the feature race wound down, but blew a left-rear tire with one lap remaining. He ultimately finished fifth, following Taylor Jarvis, Ryan Fowler, Brodie Gibson and Jason Lockwood under the checkered flag.
