Modified Shootout, RUSH Late Models, Sportsman Shootout and More to Close 65th Season

RANSOMVILLE, NY (September 11, 2023) Ransomville Speedway will be closing the books on the 2023 season this coming Friday night, September 15 with the running of the $2k to win Big Block/Small Block Shootout for the Krown Undercoating Modifieds. Joining the Modifieds will be the Sportsman, RUSH Late Models, Vintage Cars, and the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks. Atwal Eye Care and Brawdy Construction will present the racing program that will conclude the 65th season of racing on the Niagara Frontier.

The Krown Undercoating Modifieds will be racing in their annual Big Block/Small Block Modified Shootout, paying $2,000 to win. The Modifieds will be utilizing the BRP Series rules for this event. Look for a mix of both Big Blocks and Small Block Modifieds in competition.

The Hy-Tech Concrete DIRTcar Sportsman and the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman will be having their traditional end of the season shootout. “With the support of both divisions all season long and with all the calls and emails from drivers, crews, and marketing partners to add the class to the schedule, we have made the decision to add them back to the program,” speedway management said. It was previously announced that the division was off the schedule for the September 15 program.

The RUSH Late Models will be making their first appearance at Ransomville since 2021. The Late Models will be running for a standard weekly payout and will be earning RUSH Weekly Series points to go towards the overall 2023 Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model City Chevrolet National Weekly Points. As of September 3, multi-time series champion Jeremy Wonderling from Wellsville, NY is the points leader. RUSH Late Model competitors will be racing a 25-lap feature with a draw/redraw format.

The Vintage Cars will be in attendance as well after their first appearance got rained out earlier this season. The Vintage Cars will have fans turning back the clocks and remembering the past of how the open-wheeled division was like during the early days of racing at Ransomville. The Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks will round out the racing card.

Pit gates will open at 5pm, with grandstands opening at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm.
