Vanderheiden Claws His Way Into RaceSaver Nationals Feature Event
EAGLE, Neb. (September 3, 2023) Facing a field of 87 this past weekend at the IMCA Sprint Car RaceSaver Nationals at Eagle Raceway, Cole Vanderheiden clawed his way into the big dance on Sunday, where the Copps Pizza Company No. 15v made up ten positions during the A-Feature.
Starting off with a C-Feature appearance on the opening night, Cole rebounded Saturday to make the A-Feature, but ended up 20th after having raced up to tenth. In all, Saturday saw 70 laps on track without exiting the car.
Landing in the B-Feautre on Sunday, Cole took off from 14th and ran up the fifth to lock into the $ 3,000-to-win finale. Taking the green 23rd, the final result was a 13th-place finish.
