Mechanical Issues Sideline Giles at Needmore

Ty Giles made the short trip to his home track, Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Saturday evening. The night would be plagued by mechanical issues on the team's No. 10 Crate Late Model.

Despite losing his breaks in qualifying he still managed the fifth fastest time in the 16-car field to lock into the fifth-starting spot for the feature.

Bad luck bit before the feature could be contested though as a broken power steering belt forced Giles to scratch from the main event.

Despite the bad luck, Ty enjoyed getting to meet several of his fans. He thanks them and his sponsors for their great support.
