Horton lands on Iron-Man podium in Governor's Cup at Talladega Short Track
On Saturday afternoon, Austin Horton followed the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the annual Governor's Cup event.
With 36 Late Models checked in, Horton missed the setup in qualifying but made up three positions in his heat race. Rolling off from the third-row in the 50-lap showdown, Austin slipped back to the eighth-position but slowly made his way back through the field to land on the podium in the $10,000 feature. He trailed Sam Seawright and Joseph Joiner while Trey Mills and Dalton completed the Top-5.
