Clem 11th in Schaeffer's Southern Nationals stop at Wythe
Kicking off his pursuit for the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals title, Tyler Clem entered the Big Frog Motorsports No. 58 Late Model into battle on Friday at Beckley Motor Speedway (Beckley, W.Va.) for the opener of the 11-race miniseries.
After missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat with a fifth-place finish, Clem suffered a broken driveshaft while leading his B-Main that ended his run.
On Sunday afternoon at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.) after Mother Nature washed out Saturday’s attempt, Tyler edged his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Moving forward one spot in the 53-lap affair, Clem recorded an 11th-place finish.
