Sixth-place finish for Pearson Jr. in Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway
Earl Pearson Jr., along with his Papich Racing team, followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to compete at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Tuesday evening.
Following a sixth-place finish in his heat race, EPJ transferred to the feature event with a fifth-place outing in his B-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Earl recorded a 16th-place run.
With Friday's event at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) rained out, Pearson Jr. turned his attention to Saturday's Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.).
Recording the sixth-fastest lap in his qualifying group, EPJ finished third in his heat race which placed him on the seventh-row for the 50-lap main event. Sneaking into the Top-10 just past halfway, Earl used the bottom lane to pick up a few more positions to land just outside the Top-5 in the $15,000-to-win event.
