Podium finish in World of Outlaws stop at Off Road Speedway
Kicking off the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series Northern Swing, Shane Clanton entered his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 into competition at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Wichita Late Model Showdown.
With 38 Late Models checked in, Clanton started the second $4,000 preliminary feature from the fourth row and crossed the line in eighth.
For Saturday's $30,000-to-win finale, Shane made up one spot in his heat race which placed him on the sixth-row for the main event where he would finish 11th in the final rundown.
Finishing up the weekend at Off Road Speedway (Norfolk, Neb.) on Sunday, Clanton followed up the eighth-quickest lap in his group with a runner-up finish in his heat. For the evening's $10,000-to-win feature, Shane gained three positions to land on the podium in third behind race-winner Bobby Pierce and Brandon Sheppard.
Shane currently sits 11th in World of Outlaws points.
