ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints Rolling Into The Texas Panhandle

Bryan Hulbert – LUBBOCK, Texas (June 22, 2023) Ready to try again after Mother Nature forced the Texas Panhandle swing to be rescheduled, the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprint Series rolls into West Texas Raceway in Lubbock on Friday, June 23, and Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo on Saturday, June 24.

Going into the weekend, Arkansas shoe, Cody Gardner, has taken command of the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprint Series. Austin Mundie holds second, with Brett Becker third. Jeb Sessums and Michelle Parson complete the top five in tour standings. This weekend will be the third and fourth rounds of action on the 2023 season.

$4,000 to win Friday Lubbock, the open engine division of ASCS goes green at 8:00 P.M. (CDT), along with USRA Modifieds, USRA Limited Mods, USRA Stock Cars, WTR Street Stocks, and WTR JR Cyclones. Grandstands open at 6:00 P.M. with admission at $20, and kids five and under free. Pits are $35. West Texas Raceway is located at 12503 US-87 in Lubbock, Texas. Racing for $3,000 to win Saturday in Amarillo, the three-eighth-mile oval will also feature USRA Modifieds, Limited Mods, Tuners, Limited Late Models, and Street Stocks. Gates open at 6:00 P.M., with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (6-12), and free for kids five and under. Route 66 Motor Speedway is at 4101 TX-335 Loop in Amarillo, Texas. More information on the track is online at https://route66motorspeedway.net.

The ASCS Elite Wing and Non-Wing Series is owned and operated by Nathan Moore and operates under the sanction of the American Sprint Car Series. Rules for both tours can be found at http://www.ascsracing.com.
