BShepp fifth in Hell Tour stop at Fairbury Speedway
Joining the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Saturday, Brandon Sheppard visited Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) to pilot his Sheppard Riggs Racing No. B5 Late Model for the fourth round of the Hell Tour.
With 55 Late Models crammed into the pit area for the 38th running of the grueling minseries, Sheppard raced his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-to-first showing in his heat race. Starting in ffith, Brandon faded in the first half of the 50-lapper but gained ground late to finish fifth. He trailed Bobby Pierce, Shannon Babb, Gordy Gundaker, and Tanner English across the line.
