Ross Robinson competes in Historic 100 weekend at WVMS
Competing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) as the tour ventured east, Ross Robinson invaded West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Historic 100.
With a seventh-place finish in his heat pinning him on the 10th row for Friday’s preliminary, Robinson gained two spots in the 30-lap affair to finish 17th.
On Saturday, Ross raced his way into the $50,000-to-win Historic 100 finale with a fifth-place finish in his heat but Mother Nature had other plans. Scheduled to take the green in 13th, persistent rain in the area forced officials to postpone the finale to a date to be named.
