Bryan races to 12th-place finish in Billy Winn Classic at Bedford

Bryan Bernheisel kicked off a doubleheader weekend of racing on Friday with a visit to Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) for the Billy Winn Classic.

With a sixth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the ninth row for the $8,700-to-win A-Main, Bernheisel jumped up six spots in the 50-lap affair to finish 12th.

The following night, Jim joined Bryan in action as the pair invaded Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.) with a $3,800 winner’s paycheck on the line. Both drivers secured their spot in the show via heat races, with Jim finishing second and Bryan charging from fourth-to-first. Bryan suffered a mechanical issue while running second that sidelined him from the race whereas Jim was taken out by another competitor while challenging for a podium run that ended his night early. He was able to walk away from the collision unharmed.
