Shane Clanton follows World of Outlaws to 411 and Talladega
On Thursday afternoon, Shane Clanton returned to the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series with his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Seymour Showdown.
With a stout 47-car field on site, Clanton finished 10th in heat race and was unable to transfer to the $10,000-to-win main event following an 11th-place outing in his Last Chance Showdown.
Traveling to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) overnight for the two-day Alabama Gang 100, Shane qualified 10th-quickest in his group which positioned him to start 10th in the first of three 20-lap preliminary features. Moving forward two positions in the $4,000-to-win feature, Clanton recorded an eighth-place finish.
For Saturday's $50,000-to-win main event, Shane started third in his heat race and moved forward one spot to earn a 16th-place starting position. In the 60-lap Alabama Gang 100, Clanton finished two spots outside of the Top-10 in 12th.
