Chase Holland

Holland Embarks on Four-Race Weekend

Chase Holland had an ultra-busy weekend of racing in the Midwest. His excursions included three nights of Summit Equipment United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) competition at the Ed Gressel Memorial at 81 Speedway (Wichita, Kan.) followed by a United States Racing Association (USRA) Weekly Racing Series Event at I-35 Speedway (Winston, Mo.).

Action opened on Thursday evening at 81 Speedway with a $3,000-to-win program as 53 USMTS drivers registered for battle. After falling short of locking into the feature via heat race action, Holland edged into the main event with a sixth-place finish in his heat race.

Rolling off the 30-lap feature grid from the 23rd starting spot he moved forward four positions to finish 19th.

Friday evening once again found Chase moving onto the main event via a B-Main performance. From the 13th-starting spot he had his sights set on a Top-10 venture, but unfortunately would slide backwards to an 18th-place finish in the 35-lap, $5,000-to-win program.

The three day stint at the Kansas oval drew to a close on Saturday evening with a $10,000-to-win finale. Despite his best efforts, Holland failed to qualify for the feature via preliminary action and was relegated to using a provisional to start the feature in 26th. He passed four cars in the 50-lap finale to register a 22nd-place finish.

On Sunday evening, Chase made a visit to Missouri's I-35 Speedway for a Weekly Racing Series Event. After racing from sixth-to-third in his heat race he advanced from fifth-to-second in the feature behind Houston Johnson with Chris Spalding, Tyler Grooms, and Tyler Hibner completing the Top-5 finishers.
