Top-10 finish in MLRA opener at Davenport Speedway
Kicking off a three-day stint with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), Jason Feger trekked to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Thursday afternoon to compete on the potent ¼-mile oval.
Amassing a stout field of 45 Late Models, Jason laid down the ninth-fastest time in his group before grabbing the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Locked into the 13th-starting position for the feature, Feger made a late charge in the 40-lapper to finish eighth.
The following night at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) after officials moved Saturday’s $10,555-to-win Slocum 50 to Friday due to threatening rain, Feger followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with a fifth-to-third run in his B-Main. Charging forward eight spots in the 50-lap feature, Jason crossed the line in 13th aboard his Hoker Trucking No. 25 Late Model.
