Seventh-place outing in Spring Thaw Warm Up at Bulls Gap
Ricky Weiss traveled back to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Tuesday afternoon with his G-Style Transport No. 7 Late Model for the Spring Thaw Warm Up with the XR Workin' Man Series.
With the third-fastest lap in his qualifying group, Weiss battled for a runner-up finish in his heat race before earning an eighth-place feature starting spot after participating in the Dirt Dominator duels. For the $10,000-to-win main event, Ricky ran seventh in the 40-lap affair.
In Saturday's XR Super Series Spring Thaw 100, Weiss qualified third-quickest in his group but failed to make the call for his heat, relegating him into a B-Main. With one more chance to make the $100,000-to-win main event, Ricky charged through the B-Main, making up 14 positions, but ultimately still fell a few spots short of making the show.
