Kent Robinson battles bad luck in opening weekend
Kent Robinson invaded the Land of Lincoln on Friday afternoon to kick off his 2023 season at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) aboard his Willy’s Carb & Dyno Shop No. 7R Late Model.
With a fourth-place finish in his heat race placing him on the fourth row for the feature, Kent was an early retiree from the 25-lap affair on lap 16.
In a stout field of 54 Northern Allstars Late Model Series entries on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the inaugural Ira Bastain Memorial, Robinson edged his way into the $6,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat.
