Billy Moyer Jr. pilots Henderson Motorsports entry to fifth-place finish at Boothill
Billy Moyer Jr. made the first start of the season aboard the Henderson Motorsports No. 21 Late Model for the two-day Ronny Adams Memorial at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.).
Amassing 41 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries for the tour opener, Moyer rebounded with a 10th-to-5th run in his heat after a faulty power steering pump sidelined him for his time trial session. With a consolation victory placing him on the ninth row for the opening night feature, Billy charged through the field nine spots in the 30-lapper to register an eighth-place finish.
On Saturday evening, Billy secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win Ronny Adams Memorial finale with a runner-up finish in his heat race. Inching forward three positions in the 40-lap affair, Moyer raced to a fifth-place finish. He trailed Garrett Alberson, his dad, B.J. Robinson, and Cade Dillard to the checkers.
