Millwood begins 2023 season with Crate Racin' USA at East Bay
With the off-season behind him, Tyler Millwood started off the young race season at Easy Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) for the Crate Racin' USA-sanctioned East Bay Winter Nationals.
Earning a spot in the 30-lap feature via a third-place finish in his heat, Millwood started from the seventh row and brought home his No. 31 Late Model to a 16th-place finish in the $2,500-to-win A-Main.
Friday saw Millwood miss the $2,500 A-Main after failing to transfer to the main event by one spot in the final B-Feature of the night.
For the $5,000 finale on Saturday, Tyler finished fourth in his heat setting him up for front row starting spot in his B-Main. Millwood was running in fourth before spinning in turns 1 & 2 which forced him to pull off. Millwood was scored 11th in his consolation race and did not transfer to the A-Main.
