Sheppard debuts in Big Frog Motorsports No. 58 at All-Tech
Matt Sheppard hopped behind the wheel of the Big Frog Motorsports No. 58 Late Model on Friday afternoon for the two-day Sunshine State 50 at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.).
Drawing 28 XR Super Series entries, Sheppard followed up the 10th-fastest qualifying effort with a 10th-to-first run in his B-Main after pulling off early in his heat. With $20,000 on the line in the feature, Matt advanced through the field eight spots in the 40-lapper to register an 11th-place finish.
On Saturday, Matt’s third-place finish in his heat race placed him on the fifth row for the $40,000-to-win Sunshine State 50 finale. Despite an early flat that dropped him to the tail while running in the Top-10, Sheppard rallied to finish 13th in the 50-lap affair.
