Duel in the Desert brings Nothdurft to Las Vegas Dirt Track

Blair Nothdurft made the trek to Las Vegas Dirt Track (Las Vegas, Nev.) on Thursday afternoon to pilot his Bargain Barn Motorsports No. 76 Late Model for the three-day event hosted by the XR Super Series.

In a field of 42 Late Models, Nothdurft came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth-place finish, sending him into one of two consolation events. Following a runner-up performance in his 10-lap B-Main, Nothdurft gained six position in the 40-lap prelim to finish 13th.

For the second round of the Duel in the Desert on Friday, Blair’s third-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the sixth row for the $20,000-to-win preliminary feature. Losing four spots in the 40-lap affair, Nothdurft crossed the line in 16th.

On Saturday, Nothdurft edged his way into the $40,000-to-win Duel in the Desert finale with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. After shuffling a few spots early, Blair mounted a late charge in the 50-lapper to place 15th.
