RACE OF CHAMPIONS STREET STOCK SERIES AND RACE OF CHAMPIONS “ROCKET PERFORMANCE” 602 SPORTSMAN MODIFIED SERIES SET TO COMPETE AT PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS &

The Race of Champions Street Stock Series and Race of Champions “Rocket Performance” 602 Sportsman Modified Series will wrap up their seasons with exciting events as part of Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend.

Andrew Lewis, Jr., of Ontario, N.Y., is looking to claim his second straight Race of Champions Rocket Performance 602 Sportsman Modified Series Championship. Lewis, Jr., has been challenged this year by Alyssa Leaty of Ontario, N.Y., and Andrew Cook of West Henrietta, N.Y.

The Race of Champions Rocket Performance 602 Sportsman Modified Series takes to the track on Saturday with the winner earning $372.72.

The Race of Champions Street Stock Series takes the stage on Sunday, September 25 as a prelude to the 72nd Annual Lucas Oil Race of Champions 250. Tim Welshans of South Wales, N.Y., and Nik Welshans of West Seneca, N.Y., will battle for the series championship. The Race of Champions Street Stock feature will pay $572.72 to the winner.

Tickets may be purchased for the weekend and will be available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office or at www.lakeeriespeedway.com. In the event that there is inclement weather, the event will be postponed to 2023.

If you are planning to attend the Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend and camp at the facility, spots are being sold at the track for the designated camping areas.
