Fergy finishes second with World of Outlaws at Smoky Mountain
Friday night found Chris Ferguson in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Smoky Mountain Showdown. (Jacy Norgaard photos)
In a field of 31 cars, Ferguson secured his spot into the redraw with a heat race triumph. Receiving the second-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Chris rebounded late in the 40-lapper to register a runner-up finish. He followed Jimmy Owens across the line with Max Blair, Dennis Erb Jr., and Ryan Gustin completing the Top-5 finishers.
Sunday’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Hillbilly Hundred at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W.Va.) was postponed to September 29th.
