Pair of Top-10 finishes with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

On Saturday, Matt Cosner returned to the driver’s seat of his Nelson Auto Sales No. 66c Late Model at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Conococheague 50. Drawing 34 cars, Matt followed up the seventh-fastest time in his group with a third-place finish in his heat. With $15,000 on the line in the feature, Cosner clawed forward one spot in the talent-laden field to finish eighth.

The following night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the River Valley 40, Cosner edged his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Wheeling his way to his second consecutive Top-10 finish, Matt passed seven cars in the 40-lap affair to register a ninth-place finish.
