Willard Begins MLRA Week at I-80 Speedway

Taking part in a week-long stretch with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA), Brennon Willard visited I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) on Tuesday afternoon for the Tuesday Tickler. With 34 cars entered, Willard fell one spot shy of a transfer position in both his heat race and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the A-Main. The following night at Stuart Speedway (Stuart, Iowa), Brennon came in eighth in his heat race before placing sixth in his consolation event. Being granted a provisional into the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Willard passed five cars to finish 19th.

On Thursday evening at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on the quarter-mile oval, Willard followed up an eighth-place finish in his heat with a 11th-place outing in his B-Main. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Brennon clawed forward three spots in the 40-lapper to place 22nd..

To kick off the Slocum 50 weekend on Friday at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa), Brennon made the most out his provisional into the feature, passing six cars to register an 18th-place outing.

Closing out the busy week on Saturday, Willard placed ninth in his heat before coming in eighth in his B-Main. Receiving a provisional into the $10,555-to-win Slocum 50, Brennon faded one spot in the 50-lap affair to finish 25th.
