Stormy scores runner-up finish in Dairyland Showdown opener at Mississippi Thunder

Drawing 38 Late Models for the Dairyland Showdown opener, Scott followed up the second-fastest time in his group with a heat race win. Inching forward two spots in the 40-lap feature, Stormy notched a runner-up finish, which came behind Bobby Pierce. Mike Marlar, Cade Dillard, and Tyler Bruening rounded out the top-five.

For another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature on Friday, Stormy edged his way into the show with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Improving three positions, Scott logged a 10th-place finish.

On Saturday, Scott’s fourth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the eighth row for the $50,000-to-win Dairyland Showdown. He was an early retiree from the 75-lap affair on lap 48.
