CAN-AM SPEEDWAY SAYS THANK YOU WITH FREE NIGHT OF RACING FOR FIRST RESPONDERS
TUESDAY AUG 2, 2022
LA FARGEVILLE, NY – Can-Am Speedway is rolling out the red carpet for the region’s first responders on Friday night. First responders who present a current ID will be admitted to the grandstands for free! And what a night it will be!
Whitesboro Plow Shop sponsors the night’s racing activity as well as the DIRTcar 358 Modified feature race, where Tim Fuller will continue his conquest to repeat as track champion, and drivers like Ryan Bartlett and Derek Webb will seek to add a second victory to their season and climb closer in the points race.
The Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTcar Sportsman will also take to the track, with Tyler Corcoran leading the points chase by a single point over Mike Fowler. David Rogers is also within striking distance as are Gavin Eisele and Tyler Stevenson. The Sportsman feature will be an all-out battle on the track as the season rounds the corner heading for the checkered flag.
In the Panther Frameworx 602 Crate Sprint Cars, Josh Verne Jr. and Logan Crisafulli are in a tight match for points, with Crisafulli trailing by just ten points! As the sprint cars continue their inaugural season at Can-Am, they continue to provide an exciting change of pace to the racing action.
In the Donath Motor Worx Limited Sportsman Modified class, Owen Nier, Keegan Nier and Paul DeRuyter are all in close competition. Who will win the next battle?
Marsha Gibbons TLC Real Estate Thundercars will buzz the track Friday night as well, as Joe Orvis looks to extend his lead over the class and grab that coveted track championship.
Also, the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club will be in town. They always put on a great show when they bring out the cars of yesteryear to the track.
It’s fun for the whole family, with a special First Responder Parade during intermission. Come out to the track and celebrate racing and give a big thank you to the region’s first responders!
Friday night promises to have hot summer racing on the track with great food and a family-fun atmosphere in the stands. Arrive early to enjoy hot laps and take full advantage of available pit-passes to get up close to the drivers and their cars!
Pit Gates open at 4:00pm with General Admission gates opening at 5:00pm. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:00pm sharp with Hot Laps to ensue at 6:20pm. Opening Ceremonies for the evening will kick off at 7:00pm by the lovely Miss Adirondack/Miss Thousand Islands and Heat Races will immediately follow.
