Unzicker races into Prairie Dirt Classic at FALS

With a fourth-place finish in his heat pinning him on the seventh row for the main event, Ryan marched through the field eight spots in the 50-lapper to register a sixth-place finish.

On Friday afternoon, Ryan Unzicker was one of 81 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries amassed at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 32nd annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. Splitting up the massive field for time trials, Unzicker laid down the 16th-fastest time in his group. Starting his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature in eighth, Ryan recorded a seventh-place finish, relegating him into one of three consolation races on Saturday for another shot at the A-Main.

With a provisional already secured, Unzicker used his 10-lap B-Main as a test session to prepare for the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic. Starting in 25th, Ryan was credited with a 20th-place finish after pulling off early on lap 72.
