Nothdurft attends Silver Dollar Nationals weekend at I-80
Blair Nothdurft kicked off an action-packed week of racing on Tuesday with a visit to Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) debuted at the premier facility. (Todd Boyd photos)
Starting the feature in 15th via a fifth-place performance in his heat, Nothdurft dropped one spot in the 40-lap affair to finish 16th.
On Wednesday, Blair traveled to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) to compete with the Malvern Bank Series for the Prelude to the Silver Dollar Nationals. Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, Nothdurft edged his way into the $5,300-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his B-Main. Improving six positions in the 30-lapper, Blair recorded a 15th-place outing.
Rejoining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday for the Dirt Track Bank Go 50, Nothdurft missed a transfer spot in his heat race and B-Main, ending his night early.
For two rounds of heat races on Friday evening, Blair posted a pair of ninth-place finishes, relegating him into a B-Main for another shot at Saturday night’s $53,000-to-win Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals finale.
With wet weather postponing Saturday’s consolation races to Sunday, Nothdurft came three spots short of a transfer position with a sixth-place outing.
