Gregg Satterlee

Satterlee survives for $3,500 ULMS payday at Dog Hollow

Not even a flat tire on the last lap could slow Gregg Satterlee’s recent hot streak. The Pennsylvania driver visited Victory Lane for the third straight week with a $3,500 Zimmer’s United Late Model Series (ULMS) win behind the wheel of his No. 22 Keyser Manufacturing / Classic Ink / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model on Friday night.

The victory came at Dog Hollow Speedway and marked his eight of the year.

“We got lucky because the tire didn’t go until the final lap, and I was able to hold on for the win,” Satterlee said. “We had a solid run at Selinsgrove on Saturday and came home third there. We’re looking forward to heading back to Port Royal (Speedway) this Saturday to take a shot at another $5,000 win.”

Friday night found Gregg Satterlee in action at Dog Hollow Speedway (Strongstown, Pa.) aboard his Classic Ink USA No. 22 Super Late Model, competing with the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series (ULMS).
Following the fastest lap in a field of 24 cars, Satterlee outran Joe Petyak in his heat race to pick up the win. Starting the feature in fourth, Gregg held off Ryan Montgomery despite suffering a flat tire on the final circuit to secure his eighth win of the season and 16th-career ULMS victory.

He collected $3,500 for his winning performance ahead of Montgomery, Kyle Hardy, Jared Miley, and Chub Frank.

On Saturday afternoon at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.), Gregg locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Racing to a podium run in the 25-lap affair, Satterlee recorded a third-place finish, which came behind Bryan Bernheisel and Rick Eckert.
