On Tuesday afternoon, Earl Pearson Jr. got an early start to his busy race week with a visit to the premier Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) as the South Dakota oval hosted the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) for the first time. (Heath Lawson photos)

Starting the feature in 11th via a fourth-place heat performance, Earl gained two spots in the 40-lapper to finish ninth.

Back in action on Thursday with Jason Papich joining Pearson, the duo invaded I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) to kick off the Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals weekend with the Dirt Track Bank Go 50. Earl raced to his second consecutive Top-10 finish in the feature with a ninth-place while Jason followed up a runner-up showing in his heat with a 15th-place finish in the A-Main.

For two rounds of heat races on Friday, Pearson followed up a heat win with a 10th-to-fifth run in his second heat. Papich recorded a pair of eighth-place finishes, relegating him into a B-Main for one last shot at the $53,000-to-win A-Main.

Rolling off on the fourth row of his consolation event, Jason’s night was over after retiring with three laps remaining. Earl Pearson Jr. improved one spot in Sunday's rain-delayed 80-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He followed Jonathan Davenport, Tim McCreadie, Devin Moran, and Mike Marlar across the line.

Earl remains in sixth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
