Marlar finishes fourth in Silver Dollar Nationals finale at I-80 Speedway

Following a fourth-place performance in his heat race, Marlar advanced through the field 10 spots in the 40-lap feature to reel in a second-place finish. He trailed Tim McCreadie across the line with Tyler Erb rounding out the podium.
On Thursday evening at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) as the Silver Dollar Nationals weekend kicked off with the Dirt Track Bank Go 50, Mike secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race win. Racing to his 15th consecutive Top-5 finish, Marlar posted a fourth-place finish in the 50-lap affair.
For two rounds of heat races on Friday afternoon to kick off the Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals, Mike followed up an impressive ninth-to-second run in the first round with a 10-lap victory in his second heat.
Earning the pole for Sunday’s rain-delayed $53,000-to-win finale, Marlar notched a fourth-place finish in the 80-lapper. He followed Jonathan Davenport, Tim McCreadie, and Devin Moran across the line with Earl Pearson Jr. coming in fifth.
