Bailes grabs a pair of ninth-place finishes with Southern Nationals

Following the 14th-fastest qualifying effort, Bailes edged his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Breaking into the Top-10, Ross passed five cars in the 53-lapper to finish ninth.

For another $10,053-to-win A-Main on Sunday at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.), Ross’ fourth-place finish in his heat placed him on the sixth row for the main event. Inching forward two spots in the 53-lap affair, Bailes crossed the line in ninth.
