Early exit in CMH Diamond Nationals at Wheatland

Saturday saw Mason Oberkramer return to action with a visit to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the CMH Diamond Nationals. (Josh James Artwork)

Drawing 33 Late Models for the event co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA), Oberkramer edged his way into the $15,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Starting in 16th, Mason was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on the 29th circuit.
