Fifth-place finish in MLRA opener at Off Road Speedway
Competing with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) as they invaded his home turf, Tad Pospisil made the short trip to Off Road Speedway (Norfolk, Neb.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Renegade 50. (Todd Boyd photo)
Drawing 22 cars, Tad timed in fourth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat race. Losing one spot in the 25-lap preliminary feature, Pospisil recorded a fifth-place finish. He followed Johnny Scott, Justin Zeitner, Chad Simpson, and Kolby Vandenbergh to the checkers.
For the $5,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Pospisil followed up the fastest lap overall in time trials with a heat race win. After pacing the field for the opening 22 circuits, Tad was caught in a tangle with a lapped car that sent him flipping. He was able to escape unharmed.
