Weaver Embarks on Three-Race Swing

Cameron embarked on a three-race swing over the Memorial Day weekend.

Action started on Friday night at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) with the Sgt. Chris Jenkins Memorial / Back the Blue Night, where Weaver had his sights set on the $2,500-to-win Limited Late Model feature.

Weaver fought from the eighth-starting spot to cross the finish line in second behind Cory Hedgecock with Cody Courtney, Colton Profitt, and Eddie King Jr. rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday evening the action shifted to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the "Mayhem in the Mountains" event, which was sanctioned by the Vision Wheel Topless Outlaw Dirt Racing Series.

With 16 entries vying for the victory, Weaver started and finished second behind Skip Arp with Chase King, Jason Manley, and Jake Whitehead completing the Top 5.

After a break on Sunday night, Weaver was back in the driver's seat on Monday with a trip to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the 2022 edition of the Scott Sexton Memorial.

Thirty Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series competitors entered the event, and Weaver qualified 17th fastest before finishing sixth in his heat race, which left him just short of locking into the feature.

However, a win in his B-Main positioned him 16th on the feature grid, and he passed seven drivers to finish ninth.
