1st Annual Darty Smith Memorial

Glenmora, La (Feb 3, 2022) – Our 2 day season opener will be one for the record books as we host the 1st Annual Darty Smith Memorial Feb 18- Feb 19, 2022.

It is a true honor to be able to host this event that recognizes Darty Smith, such a well respected gentleman who helped many drivers on and off the racing surface. Darty was an established businessman and veteran race car driver.
He passed away on October 31, 2020 leaving behind his family, and a host of friends. Darty was no stranger to a race track, you could always find him trackside at the fuel shed or watching his #7 Henry's Motorsports car compete door to door chasing a checkered flag.

With all the interest in this event we plan to see a lot of new faces who are planning to visit the speedway in Dartys honor. We are looking forward to our 1st ever Darty Smith Memorial winners.

On Friday and Saturday adult grandstand admission is $10 each night. Children (ages 4-and-under) are free in the grandstands. Pit passes are $35 on both Friday and Saturday.

On Friday the gates open at 4 p.m. with the draw ending/drivers meeting set for 6:30, hot laps at 7:20 p.m. and racing action at 8 p.m for Promods, Stingers and 1st Year Rookies. An open practice session will follow for those wanting to dial in on their setup or get some extra seat time.

Saturday’s program includes gates opening at 2 p.m. with the draw ending/drivers meeting at 4:30 p.m., hot laps at 5:20 p.m. and racing action at 6:00 p.m for CRUSA Weekly Late Models, Street Stocks, Limited Modifieds, and Factory Stocks. Transponders will be used for all Classes with transponder rental available at the track for $15.

Payouts will be released this coming week with race procedure details to follow.
