Nothdurft banks $2,400 Tri-State victory at Fairmont Raceway
Taking part in the final points race for the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series, Bargain Barn Motorsports invaded Fairmont Raceway (Fairmont, Minn.) on Friday evening with Blair Nothdurft piloting the Asphalt Pros. No. 76 Late Model.
With a heat victory placing him on the second row for the feature, Nothdurft soared into the lead on the sixth circuit and held off a charging Cole Searing late to claim his second win of the season and eighth career Tri-State triumph. He earned a $2,400 payday ahead of Searing and Luke Sathoff.
Blair finished second in the final Tri-State Series point standings.
For the non-points Tri-State Series event on Saturday at Worthington Speedway (Worthington, Minn.), Blair followed up a runner-up run in his heat race with a third-place showing in the feature. He trailed Justin Zeitner and Cole Searing to the checkers in the 25-lapper.
