Nothdurft makes four of six Winternationals feature at East Bay

Continuing on with his winter racing slate, Blair Nothdurft and Bargain Barn Motorsports made the trek to East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) on Monday afternoon to take part in the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a stout field of 76 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Blair edged his way into the opening night feature with the third and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $5,000 on the line, Nothdurft faded seven spots in the 30-lap affair to register a 21st-place outing.

For the third round of the Wrisco Winternationals on Wednesday, Blair posted a sixth place finish in his heat race, transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the feature.

With Mother Nature postponing the final two consolation events and the A-Main to late Thursday evening, Nothdurft grabbed the second and final transfer spot behind Tanner English. Running into trouble early, Blair was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the sixth lap.

For Thursday night’s full program, Blair recorded an eighth place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Locking the Top 2 into the show, Nothdurft fell short with a ninth-place finish.

On Friday evening, Nothdurft came in ninth in his heat race before scratching from his 10-lap consolation event.

Wrapping up the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday, Blair followed up the 12th fastest lap in his time trial group with a third place finish in his heat. Starting the $15,000-to-win finale in 17th, Nothdurft withdrew early from the 50-lapper with 11 laps remaining.
