Pulkrabek competes at I-55 and Knoxville

Gage Pulkrabek made the journey to Missouri over the weekend to compete in a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series doubleheader.

Friday’s event, the Night Before the Ironman, ended prematurely for Pulkrabek after a tangle in the Last Chance Showdown. When the crew discovered more extensive damage than initially expected, Pulkrabek chose to sit out Saturday’s Ironman 55 and return to his shop to focus on preparations for the Avanti Windows & Doors Capitani Classic at Knoxville Raceway on Sunday.

Serving as a final tune-up before the prestigious Knoxville Nationals, Pulkrabek struggled to find speed, fading to a 13th-place finish in his heat. Buried deep in the C Feature, he made the decision to cut his weekend short and concentrate on the crown jewel event of the sprint car season.
