Redwood Acres Raceway
Full Slate Of Action At Redwood Acres Raceway Saturday
The 2020 season at Redwood Acres Raceway is quickly coming to an end. With less than a handful of events left on the pandemic-shortened schedule, the battle for positions in all races for all five local divisions of late models, Legends, bombers, mini stocks and roadrunners will be even greater. This Saturday’s event is presented by Redwood Capital Bank and Eureka Oxygen. Once again, fans will not be allowed to attend the races in person but Redwood Acres Raceway will stream the event live on Facebook.
Bryan Brandt is riding on the wave of a two-race win streak in the roadrunner division. Gary Klinetobe was the main event winner in the most recent race on August 14. The Upstate Bombers were the feature attraction last race with late model racer Dustin Walters winning the 50-lap event. The main event purse for the Legends division will have a boost for the top five finishers with $500 going to the winner. Chris Lawrence, Dane Nissen and Derek Copeland have been the main event winners thus far in 2020. The late models were not in action in the previous race. Luke Hall won the most recent main event on August 1.
There will be a test and tune at Redwood Acres Raceway on Friday August 28 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Participants are highly urged to purchase pit passes and fill out driver registration forms as soon as possible. Pit passes can be purchased at https://market.myracepass.com/store/tickets/?i=1216803&store=20226 while the August 29 registration form can be found at www.RacinTheAcres.com under the rules section.
