Stuart Speedway Names 2020 Track Champions

Racers and fans alike were treated to a great season finale at Stuart Speedway for XR Monday Night Spotlight Season Championship presented by Jason Cox Construction, Big Load Trailer Sales, Anita Lumber, Zipps Pizza, Ag Hub Midwest, Shawn's Hay Grinding, Ganoe Excavating, Karl Chevrolet of Stuart, APS Advanced Problem Solutions, and Town & Country Insurance.
Bobby Daniels and Kamdyn Haggard brought the Outlaw Mini Mods out for the first feature of the night with Kamdyn Haggard leading lap one. Kenadi Songer and Terrin Gannon got together in turn four with Gannon getting upside down. Terrin was ok but her night was over. Once the cars got going it was Nathan Kilwine darting out to the lead and holding it through a couple of caution flags to take the win. Justin Besch finished second with Jerry Larson third, Tanner Prehn fourth and Chase Daniels fifth. Matt Prehn is the 2020 Stuart Speedway Outlaw Mini Mod track champion by one point over Chase Daniels. Congratulations Matt!
IMCA Sport Compacts were up next with Hunter Patrick and Kolby Sabin on the front row. Patrick made this one look easy as he led every lap to take the feature win. Mitchell Bunch took home second with Craig Furstenau third, Kolby Sabin fourth and Diego Diaz fifth. Bryan Vannausdle ended the season as the 2020 IMCA Sport Compact points champion by 3 points over Kolby Sabin. Congratulations Bryan!
Rusty Bates and Tom Killen led the IMCA Hobby Stocks to the green flag next with Killen leading the first couple of circuits before Brandon Cox used the bottom side of the track to take over the lead. Cox stayed true to the bottom and went on to take the win, his 4th of the season. Zach Hemmingsen finished second with Dylan Nelson third, Tim Killen Jr fourth and Rusty Bates fifth. Cox finished as the 2020 IMCA Hobby Stock Track titlist by 8 points over Dylan Nelson. Congratulations Brandon!
IMCA Northern SportMods came out next with Brayton Carter and Carter VanDenberg on the front row. Carter shot to the lead early and never looked back in taking the easy win in the caution free event. Brian Osantowski finished second with Cam Reimers third, Cody Thompson fourth and Logan Anderson fifth. Carter ended up the 2020 IMCA Northern SportMod season champion by 20 points over Cam Reimers. Congratulations Brayton!
Jeremy Gettler and Bob Daniels brought the IMCA Stock Cars out next with Daniels leading the first half of the race. Damon Murty made up ground quick and took over the lead with a slider on lap 13 and he would go on to take the feature win. Daniels finished second with Brock Badger third, Chanse Hollatz fourth and Gettler fifth. Jeremy Gettler is the 2020 IMCA Stock Car track champ with an 8 point lead over Bob and Josh Daniels. Congratulations Jeremy!
Last up for the night was the IMCA Modifieds with Chase Rudolf and Ethan Braaksma bringing the cars to the track, and it was Cody Laney powering to the front on lap 2 with Tim Ward giving chase for the entirety of the event. Ward worked high and low but there was no stopping Laney as he would go on to the win. Ward finished second with Josh Gilman third, Tom Berry Jr fourth and Chase Rudolf fifth. Tom Berry Jr took home the 2020 IMCA Modified track championship by 13 points over Tim Ward. Congratulations Tom!
