Tristan Swanson Setting Records
Wisconsin Dells WI 5/8/21-Tristan Swanson of Elko, MN fresh off his first win at Madison International Speedway in the Midwest Truck Series last weekend came home victorious in his first ever UMA Modified event Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park in the Midwest Lifestyle Roofing & Construction A-Main Feature event where he collected the $500 top prize presented by Assembly Products of Westfield. Jerry Blystone of Portage started from the pole and took the early lead in the event until Brad Wildes of Tomah looking very strong to command of the race. Wildes would continue to lead until Swanson who started in the fifth position work his way up filling the mirrors of the veteran Wildes and eventually taking the top spot for good sailing to victory in yet another division at DRP. Swanson who was the 2019 INEX Legend Champion at DRP claimed first and Wildes had to settle for second while the crafty veteran from Milwaukee Bill Prietzel finished third, Justin Okruhlica of Jackson WI had a nice run to the fourth spot and Denny Schott of Mauston rounded out the top five with a sold fifth place finish. Earlier in the night is was Jerry Blystone picking up the win in the Diamond Wheels Fast Dash, Brett Wachowiacz won the Blystone Towing & Recovery Mod heat and your feature winner Tristian Swanson was fastest in qualifying with a New Track Record in the UMA Mods of 14.287 83.153 mph breaking Jerry Blystone record of 14.293. UMA Modifieds will be back in action on May 22nd for the Chula Vista Resort 50.
