Third-place finish in Charlie Walter Memorial

Jim Bernheisel made his lone start of the weekend on Friday afternoon at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) for the Charlie Walter Memorial Race. With a runner-up finish in his heat race aligning him fifth on the starting grid for the $2,000-to-win A-Main, Bernheisel improved two spots in the 25-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He trailed Chuck Clise and Jeff Rine across the line with Travis Stickley and Nathan LaSalle rounding out the Top-5.
