BORNTREGER BAGS UMA PRO LATE MODEL WIN

Wisconsin Dells WI-Mahlon Borntreger from Elroy, WI brought home the A-Main win in the UMA Pro Late Models Saturday Night at Dells Raceway Park for his first feature win of the season. Clayton Storey and Mike Ehde brought a stacked field of Pro Late Models to the line for their 35 lap Main event. After an initial side by side battle Ehde was able to pull away to the early lead. The 18 would continue to lead until lap 12 when Brady Bill would catch him and take the lead. The field would show its incredible talent as battles raged and comers and goes were slowly revealed. Mahlon Borntreger would be the next to challenge for the lead after climbing from the 6th starting position. A late caution would fly with 21 laps to go that would put Borntreger to the outside of Brady Bill on the restart. Borntreger would out dual Bill on the outside to take the lead and cruise to the checkered ahead of fast qualifier Mike Lichtfeld who would finish second followed by Bill, Kendrick Kreyer and Nick Nolden. The Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash was won by Brady Bill and the heat races were collected by Colton Morgan and Scott Luck. With 3 races and 3 different winners the DRP UMA Pro Late models are quickly staking their claim as the best of their kind in Southern Wisconsin. The UMA Pro Late Models return next week June 17th for the second leg of the Pro Late Model Triple Crown presented by Logan’s Heroes Bar.
