Timms attends doubleheader at Eldora Speedway

Ryan Timms brought his CitGard Engine Oil No. 5T Sprint Car to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday afternoon to make his first career start at the prestigious ½-mile Ohio oval.

Drawing 44 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series entries for the BeFour the Crowns Showdown, Timms clocked in 14th-fastest in his group before placing seventh in his heat. Needing to place fourth or better in his B-Main to make the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Ryan recorded a seventh-place outing.

Remaining on the grounds on Saturday, Ryan was one of 34 Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions entries signed in for the 4 Crown Nationals. Following the 18th-fastest qualifying effort, Timms secured his spot into the main event with a fourth-place showing in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Ryan dropped one position in the 30-lap affair to place 15th.
