Todd Shute Dominates Ron Little Memorial

A track record 170 cars jam packed the pits at Stuart Speedway for the 21st Annual Ron Little Memorial/Midwest Madness Tour Presented by Ganoe Excavating, Rick's Towing, John's Tree Service, Karl Chevrolet of Stuart, Pole Position, AgHub Midwest, Big Load Trailer Sales, Interstate Power Systems, Ag Hub Midwest and VIP Contractors.
Outlaw Mini Mods were the first features on the track and after a few cautions it was Nathan Kilwine coming from his eighth starting spot to take the win. Logan Brown finished second with Matt Prehn third, Dan Kline fourth and Chase Daniels fifth
Cody Pierce and Chris Vannausdle brought the IMCA Sport Compacts to green, and it was Kolby Sabin making his way to the front to take the feature win. Tyler Fiebelkorn made it to the flag stand in second with Bryan Vannausdle third, Hunter Patrick fourth and Mark Smith fifth
IMCA Stock Cars came out next with Jake Masters and Jason Rold on the front row for their 30 lap feature. Masters held the lead early with Josh Daniels staying within shouting distance until the leaders made it to lap traffic at the halfway mark. A caution flag flew on lap sixteen and Dusty VanHorn took advantage as he went to the point over Masters and Elijah Zevenbergen. VanHorn overdrove the corner on lap 21 to give the lead back to Masters, and he held that until a caution came out to bring a green-white-checkered finish. Dallon Murty threw a slider on Masters, but the momentum was too strong and Masters went on to the feature win. Murty finished second with VanHorn third, Zevenbergen fourth and Damon Murty fifth
Next on the track was the IMCA Hobby Stocks with Brandon Cox and Rusty Bates drawing the front two spots. Cox led the first two laps until Chuck Madden Jr rocketed to the front on lap three. Cox stayed close and was able to take back the lead on lap eleven and go on to the win. Madden Jr settled for second with Braden Richards third, Solomon Bennett fourth and Jason Fusselman fifth.
Todd Shute and Cory Sauerman were up front for the 21st running of the Ron Little Memorial for the IMCA Modifieds and their 35 lap feature event. Shute took command early with Nick Roberts and Ethan Braaksma in tow. Shute dominated through lap traffic until a caution for Dylan Thornton skidding to a stop on the turn two wall brought the field to a halt with six laps to go. Cayden Carter and Jeff Aikey traded sliders a few times but it was Shute leading all the way to the finish to take the win. Carter finished second with Tom Berry Jr third, Aikey fourth and Roberts fifth.
IMCA Northern SportMods were last up with Cam Reimers and Josh Sink on the front row. Sink led through a couple of cautions with Reimers and Brayton Carter close enough to through a blanket over them all! Yellow came over the track on lap fourteen and that was just what Carter was looking for as he took command and never looked back in getting the win. Josh Most finished second with Reimers third, Cody Thompson fourth and Brian Osantowski fifth.
We want to thank all of the drivers, crew and fans for coming out for our crown jewel event. Next Wednesday we’ll be back to weekly racing presented by Rolling Hills Bank & Trust, Finishline Body & Paint, Town & Country Insurance, Stuart Chamber of Commerce, Pitts Lawn Service, Karl Chevrolet of Stuart, Pie Five Pizza and Wilson Welding. See you then!
