TJR pulls double duty at USRA Nationals

Tony Jackson Jr. was in action on Thursday afternoon at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) as he was pulling double duty for the USRA Nationals weekend. With 70 USRA Modifieds entered, Jackson Jr. followed up a 10th-to-sixth run in his heat with a B-Main victory. Starting the A-Main in 14th, Tony passed seven cars in the 20-lapper to finish seventh.

In the B-Mod ranks, Tony came in fourth in his heat before placing 12th in the feature.

On Friday, Jackson’s fourth-place finish in heat race lined him up ninth on the starting grid for the A-Main. Holding his spot for all 20 laps, Tony recorded a ninth-place finish.

After placing 11th in his B-Mod heat race, Tony was a scratch from his consolation event.

He did not compete in Saturday's event.
